Dr Hannah Andrews
Hannah qualified as a mental health nurse in 2001 and since then has held a number of posts within a variety of settings including inpatient acute psychiatry, psychiatric intensive care, CAMHS and eating disorders. She currently works as an Assistant Professor in nursing at Coventry University, teaching across all fields of undergraduate and post-graduate nursing. Alongside this she also has the role of pastoral care lead, supporting the health and wellbeing of undergraduate student nurses. Hannah has a keen interest in research and completed her PhD in nursing in 2018, focusing on the experience of self-care and self-compassion in nursing. She is interested in how healthcare professionals care for themselves whilst caring for their patients in this ever-changing healthcare climate.
